Joint Commission Certification Recognizes High Quality Standards

As the leader in locum tenens staffing, Staff Care is one of a small subset of staffing firms certified by the Joint Commission for its ability to provide qualified and competent locum tenens staffing services to our clients. As an AMN Healthcare company, we have the backing of a comprehensive healthcare staffing services and workforce solutions company, who first received a Gold Seal of Approval™ for Staffing Companies from the Joint Commission in 2005, and who alongside Staff Care was recertified through 2014. Staff Care inclusion in AMN’s Joint Commission Certification is effective July 23, 2010 through June 30, 2014.

The Joint Commissions accreditation and certification program is nationally recognized as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meet certain performance standards. Staff Care is included on the Quality Check website as a Certified Health Care Staffing Service, and is acknowledged with the Gold Seal of Approval.

Healthcare staffing firms, like Staff Care, are eligible for Joint Commission certification if they:
 

• Place clinical staff in other organizations that oversee or provide direct patient care
• Place clinical staff under the direct supervision of another organization’s personnel
• Have at least a four-month track record of being in business and meeting the standards
• Have placed at least 10 clinical staff during that four-month time period

This certification provides our clients with the added assurance that Staff Care is committed to continuous improvement and maintaining nationally recognized industry standards for compliance, quality and excellence in our service delivery options.

Recertification reviews are announced and are conducted on-site every other year. The review evaluates performance, continuing education and training, placement criteria and other areas. The Joint Commission’s Health Care Staffing Services Recertification Program provides an independent, comprehensive evaluation of a staffing firm’s ability to provide qualified and competent staffing services.
