Stephanie Hawkins is passionate about employee engagement. Throughout her tenure with Staff Care, she has been involved in planning company picnics, company golf tournaments, regional events as well as team events. She is known throughout the organization not only for her contributions to employee morale, but for her continued top personal production year after year.
Being social by nature is not only one of her most valuable traits, it has been the driving force of her 11-year career at Staff Care. In an ever-changing work environment, Stephanie absorbs all of the possibilities and opportunities that come with it. She believes in embracing chaos — because ultimately, she says — it’s the best way to expand our world and achieve great things in life.
Stephanie currently resides in Castle Hills North Dallas with her two Maltese dogs: Kenny, who is 12 years old and Bentley, who is one year old.
Aside from being a social butterfly, what other skill are you most proud of?
Cooking! I can make a killer mac and cheese dish. But Mexican food is my favorite thing to cook.
What do you love to do outside of work?
Anything to do with water! I can’t stand the cold. In the summer I like to go boating at Lake Lewisville.
Traveling is also a passion. I love deep sea fishing! In the past few years I have fished in Cancun, Bahamas, St.John, St. Marteen, St. Thomas and Florida. I have a trip planned in August to head back to Florida to fish again!
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
What is your most treasured possession?
I love my Range Rover Evoque!
If you could pick a character from a TV show or movie that best represents you, who would it be?
At one time or another, I have identified with all four characters on the TV series Sex and the City.
What makes it fun to work in Primary Care?
I have always appreciated the ability to let your style/personality come across in your approach to selling Staff Care.
What is the most challenging aspect?
How quickly things can change. In a people-focused business, whatever the situation might be today, it could change tomorrow. But at the end of the day, I feel like my job makes a difference in people’s lives.
Can you share a fond work-related memory?
Once I went to visit a client with a team member and when we drove up to the valet, my co-worker forgot to put the gear in park, and the car went rolling toward the hospital. We still laugh about that all the time.
