Job Description & Requirements

Hospice and Palliative Care Physician

This facility is looking for locum tenens support as they look to grow their current staff.

This opportunity offers:
  • Shift Schedule Details & Shift Duration: Monday - Friday 8a-5p, with call rotation for up to 7 days/month or less
  • Call Schedule/Responsibilities: On-call night coverage for symptom management and emergencies for 5 evenings/nights during the week and Saturday/Sunday for all hospice sites.
  • Patients per Day/Volume: Home and facility visit up to 20-25 per month face-to-face visits required for recertification and as needed for symptom management or assessment. Coverage for hospice inpatient unit, 27-bed adult facility (occasional pediatrics 1-3 year), averaging 15 daily censuses during time away or unexpected absences.
Required Qualifications:
  • Board Certification
  • North Carolina License
  • Hospice experience and certification preferred
