Immediate need for 2 General surgeons to support the troops and their families in Missouri
The Army is in need of a board certified general surgeon for services at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. The provider must be boarded in general surgery and have at least 24 months of experience in the last 36 months. The provider will need to have a current and unrestricted state license, current BLS/ACLS/ATLS, as well as a non-exempt DEA. The surgeon will be working in both the clinic and operating room on a weekly rotating basis. The provider should expect to work 2-3 days in clinic tending to pre and post operation evaluations and follow-ups, as well as new patient visits. The total number of hours worked in clinic and surgery averages between 50-55 hours a week. The surgeon must be comfortable in performing both lower and upper endoscopes, as well as all the normal bread and butter procedures. The provider is expected to be part of the on-call rotation and be available to come back into the facility when needed.
