Immediate Family Practice physicians needed in Lousiana
The Army is in need of 4 Family practice physicians to help serve the troops and their families at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The provider can be either board certified or eligible, but must have completed a full 3 year residency in family practice. The provider can work under any active and unrestricted state license, and will be required to have a current BLS and ACLS life support before they can start services. The physician must have at least 2 years of primary care experience in the last 4 years to qualify, and residency does count towards that time. The provider will be working in an out-patient setting treating all ages. The doctor will be managing a panel of both new and existing patients for all bread and butter procedures consistent with primary care settings. The provider will be working Monday thru Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, and there is no call or overtime expected. The doctor should be comfortable with treating 22-24 patients per day, depending on if they are new patients or existing patients. The government does ask that anyone that considers this job would need to be comfortable working in a team environment, and have experience using EMR systems. The Army uses both CHCS and AHLTA systems.
