Job Description & Requirements

Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens

The VA is in need of primary services for the Longview VAMC. The provider can be either board certified or eligible, but must have completed a full residency in family practice or internal medicine. The provider will be required to have a current and unrestricted state license, current BLS, ACLS, and DEA. The VA would prefer for the candidate to have recent or current VA experience, but it is not required. The provider will be working in an out-patient clinic setting, treating only adults. The clinic hours are 8am to 430pm, and there is no overtime or on-call expected. The provider will be seeing and treating between 16 and 20 patients per day. They must be comfortable using EMR systems and knowledgable using computers ( excel and word).
