OB/GYN Hospitalist position available in New York! Facility houses 26 inpatient beds with 7 LDR Suites (1 pre-eclamptic, 1 neonatal, 2 negative pressure rooms, 2 triage beds); 26 post-partum, and a Level 2 nursery. 2,000 deliveries per year and 2-3 deliveries per day.
Electronic Medication Administration Record systems in place include Eclipsis (hospital wide) OB – OBIX, Gyn surgery notes in a separate system. Neonatologists on call 24/7, attend all c/s and high risk deliveries. Level II Nursery designation allows facility to keep babies 32 weeks and up. Consult with Syracuse for any baby under 32 weeks, medical complications, surgery – formal transfer agreement currently in place, once consult is made to Syracuse, the steps that follow are under the direction of MFM based on their analysis of condition, time to transfer, census, etc. Transfers generally include babies less than 32 weeks and those at any gestational age with anticipated needs for long-term care (more than 24hrs) ventilation, subspecialty treatment and/or surgical procedures. The Level II Nursery at FSLH can keep babies over 32 weeks with consideration also given to birth weight. Phone consults with tertiary center are available 24/7, so plans of care can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. There is 24/7 neonatology coverage at FSLH, the Neonatologist attends all c/s and high risk deliveries. Preference is for us to perform our own circumcisions. No MFM on site for clinic
