Job Description & Requirements

Radiation/Oncology Physician

A medical facility in Ohio is seeking Radiation Oncology physician coverage beginning December 10,2018 through March 22, 2019. Shifts will be 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. 2 or 3 consecutive days per week. No overtime or call.

Actual days of the week in house can be negotiable but 2 or 3 consecutive days per week (preferably 3 days where one day overlaps with Dr. Hong – the other Rad Onc OR where Dr. Hong works 2 or 3 consecutive weeks then off a week with locum coverage for that off week, depending on locum availability. Can be flexible. There will be hand off and a day of overlap with the other Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Eugene Hong. We are a comprehensive cancer center and therefore it is expected to also work closely with Medical Oncologists and Palliative Care Physicians.
On average the team has 30-40 patients on treatment at a time. The 2 providers team sees an average of 31 outpatient consults per month and 60 follow-ups per month. 

Supervision of radiation treatments, including: EBRT, IMRT/VMAT, Electrons, SBRT,& SRS. The covering physician should have training and experience with all of these. They will also be required to complete consultations, follow-ups, weekly on-treatment visits, simulations, and the approval of treatment planning, including contouring critical structures.
** We will entertain someone who is unable to do SBRT and SRS procedures but it is not preferred.  

Physician will be required to do electronic dictation and will need basic computer knowledge in order to access patient charts, X-rays and lab results.  EPIC  will be provided.
Prefer Ohio based physicians with clean background.
**Provider will be required to attend nine hours of electronic medical records training with both programs. Additional orientation will be scheduled to introduce provider to available resources and people.
Also will be required to undergo a drug screen (urinalysis), TB screen and review immunization records (provide prior to start of assignment). ***
Provider will be expected to be current (according to GMG documentation policies and medical center bylaws) with all patient charts BEFORE hours will be approved for payment.
