Locum Leaders Sales Spotlight: Kim Broddon
This week, our Locum Leaders team is celebrating National Locum Tenens Week, a new annual celebration established by the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO). As a locum tenens staffing agency, we are so honored to have the opportunity to work with physicians and advanced practitioners from a variety of specialties each and every day. As a team, we strive to provide the best possible service to our locum tenens providers and healthcare facilities and pride ourselves on our dedication to building a positive relationship with each of our providers and clients.
As part of our Locum Tenens Week celebration, we wanted to introduce a few of our top recruiters and sales team members, as they exemplify our core values each day they come to work. One member, in particular, is Kim Broddon, who is a member of the Locum Leaders Primary Care sales team. We sat with her to discuss what she enjoys most about her job, as well as some information about what she likes to do in her free time!
A St. Louis resident for the majority of her life, Kim has been an employee of Locum Leaders (originally Linde Healthcare) in St. Louis since 2012, learning about the company from a friend of hers who posted a job opportunity on social media.
“I am on the marketing side of the Primary Care Team, and would describe my job as similar to an investigator,” Kim said, adding, “I go out and find jobs for the recruitment team that fit the needs of the physicians or mid-levels with whom they work. I manage client relationships nationwide and try to find positions to accommodate our healthcare providers.”
Although Kim was unfamiliar with the locum tenens industry prior to joining the Locum Leaders team, she was excited about the opportunity to work in the healthcare industry, as she had always dreamt of working as a nurse.
“It’s kind of ironic because I’ve always wanted to be a nurse, and always liked the healthcare field as a kid growing up. All of the popular TV shows like Rescue 911, Life in the E.R., anything that had to do with medicine has always been intriguing to me,” Kim said, adding, “I’ve always been somewhat of a caretaker, and even though I’m not on the clinic side of work now, I still enjoy the opportunity to work with healthcare professionals.”
Aside from the enjoyment of working in the healthcare industry in general, Kim finds the main benefit of her work to be the relationships she’s able to build with her client contacts.
“When you establish a relationship with a client, they know you, you know them, and working with them one-on-one becomes so enjoyable,” she said. “I have had the opportunity to work with some great clients and develop long-term relationships throughout my years working with the company”.
Kim’s hard work and dedication continue to shine through, as she has broken numerous sales records and was named the top biller of 2016. She leverages her both outgoing and honest personality to develop and maintain relationships with everyone she works with, both internally and externally.
In her free time when she’s not spending time with her children or grandchildren, Kim enjoys playing volleyball, softball, or going to sporting events.
