Staff Care Supports National Health Center Week
Leading Locum Tenens Staffing Firm Commits $25,000 as a Bronze Sponsor
IRVING, TX – Staff Care, the nation’s leading locum tenens staffing firm and a company of AMN Healthcare, is lending its support to National Health Center Week 2015, a nationwide event recognizing the key contributions to quality, accessible care made by America’s Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
As a sponsor of the event, Staff Care will be supporting celebration activities at FQHCs in three states, including Texas, Utah and Missouri. The firm’s $25,000 National Health Center Week Bronze Sponsorship, made to the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), will help forward the vital work FQHCs do providing healthcare services through thousands of sites across the country. Staff Care is a long-time supporter of FQHCs and is NACHC’s sole preferred partner for temporary physician staffing.
“We are proud to be a part of efforts to recognize the key role FQHCs play in providing high-quality, accessible care to underserved populations,” said Bonnie Britton, senior vice president of Staff Care. “That role will only expand as more patients seek out care that is local, reliable, and affordable.”
Activities at National Health Center Week celebrations will include legislative breakfasts featuring U.S. senators and congressional representatives, health fairs offering diabetes and cholesterol screenings and immunizations, facility tours and receptions, picnics, children’s coloring contests and others. Staff Cares’ representatives will be attending some of these activities, presenting plaques and making presentations on the key role FQHCs play in delivering care in today’s evolving healthcare market.
National Health Center Week offers healthcare organizations, care givers, businesses, civic leaders and others an opportunity to recognize the contributions of the nation’s 1,300 health center organizations, which offer services through some 9,000 delivery sites across the country. These sites provide mostly primary care for more than 20 million patients a year and are a vital resource for traditionally underserved populations.
NACHC acts as the professional education and advocacy association for the health centers and helps organize National Health Center Week. Through its staffing services, Staff Care assists FQHCs in maintaining necessary physician and advanced practitioner staffing levels and in caring out their mission of providing accessible, affordable care.
