In the early months of 2012, Staff Care (an AMN Healthcare company) convened a roundtable panel of locum tenens physicians representing a wide range of healthcare specialties (including primary care, neurology, pediatrics, cardiology, and psychiatry) to discuss some of today’s most pressing healthcare and locum tenens issues.
The topic of this video: What motivates healthcare professionals to become physicians? The answers included:
- Family traditions;
- The combination of scientific interest and caring for others;
- Sharing the blessings you’re given to help others in need; and
- Interest in the body-mind connection, and a desire to bridge Eastern and Western medical philosophies and practices.
